Weather is looking good now! Be ready to enjoy the singing of Leah Calvert and Timothy Miller and to help the Chorale sing of drunken sailors. We’ll be rounding Cape Horn at Zonolite Park at 4 p.m. on June 12.

Be prepared: You will have the opportunity to bid to draw for wonderful booty or to walk the plank amid the voices of our great chorale and receive a booby prize.  It will be pay to play, so bring your credit card, check book, or cash.  Prizes include hundreds of dollars worth of Pontoon Craft Beer, a fine yo ho ho bottle of rum, gift cards to Floataway Café and Fifth Group Restaurants, a work by Gordon Boice, a beautiful diary by photographer Jack Lawing, and one item that’s a gold nugget—a week in a 5 bedroom cabin in Montana ten minutes from the western entrance to Yellowstone National Park in exchange for a $1000 dollar or more contribution to Meridian Herald.

Wear a pirate costume, pay the entry fee of 25.00, and win a prize!

REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR CHAIRS OR BLANKETS. THERE IS NO FORMAL SEATING.  Order picnic dinners with cocktails if you’d like from Floataway Café (click here) or bring your own.  Please check our website and Facebook page at 2:00 p.m. on June 12 to get the final word on whether we will have to postpone because of rain.  If it does rain, we will post another time during the summer for the event!
