Exploring the Environment and the Arts

Meridian Herald presents Sing! “Song of the Chattahoochee,” a live-streamed (no live audience), outdoor concert broadcast from the Chattahoochee Nature Center at 6 p.m., July 26. The concert is hosted by environmentalist/journalist Sally Sears with performances by “tenor lion” Timothy Miller and distinguished soprano Wanda Yang Temko, under the direction of Steven Darsey. Children who visit the CNC on Sunday afternoon 12:00-3:00 on July 26 will receive a packet (via QR code or through downloading on the CNC or Meridian Herald websites) of fun activities related to music, poetry, nature and science, play “Song of the Chattahoochee” hopscotch and/or participate in a video recording of the poem “Song of the Chattahoochee” by renowned Georgia poet Sidney Lanier.
